Summer Camps

Summer Camp Registration Form

June 20 to August 26, 2011

7 am – 6 pm, Monday – Friday

$300/week, sibling discount: 20%

Summer Camp Sample Activities & Topics

General camps include introduction of Chinese and/or French, Reading, Math, Games and Puzzles, Arts and Crafts, World Culture and Geography and Outdoor Exercises. French summer camps are for French Immersion students only (August 1 – 19, 2011). French Immersion students are expected to speak French at all times.

Summer Camp Teachers & Assistants

Current regular and French Immersion teachers from the Yang Academy and other schools will work at the camp. Former Maryvale French Immersion students will be assistants at the camp.

Summer Camp Sample Schedule

7 am – 8 am	Reading, morning exercises, snack
8 am – 9 am	Drawing, writing, math problems, puzzles, geography games
9 am – 10 am	Outdoor playing (jump ropes, Frisbee, ball games)
10 am – 11:15 am	Writing, math/spelling contest, Jeopardy
11:15 am – 12:30 pm	Lunch
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm	Read magazines, make crafts, origami, coloring
1:30 pm – 3 pm	Outdoor playing (ball games, sprinkler, swimming pool)
3 pm – 3:30 pm	Snack
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm	Card games, board games, puzzles, scrabble, monopoly
5:30 pm – 6 pm	Music, finishing work
